Inside Nairobi

I wish the Tribe hotel had put its restaurant on the rooftop. The basement location overlooking the pool could be better. But this is overall a rare place in Nairobi - and I mean that in a positive sense. Staff make an effort. Have tried the warm goat cheese and the risotto which actually has a lot of parmesan. The steak is not bad, and can be served with a good bearnaise, not just the usual pepper sauce found all over Nairobi. The sushi is so, so. This is an expensive restaurant. The best value is really the salad buffet, which at least used to be 450. This is really the best salad buffet selection I've had in Kenya. The crepe offer (you select your crepe by the crepe station/buffet) is good too. The trio of cheesecake is the best dessert in Nairobi.
