Inside Nairobi

Went here with a group visiting Nairobi. While the atmosphere is not as great as Carnivore, I still prefer it for the food. And in a way, Carnivore being as touristy as it is, this restaurant feels more authentic for guests. The buffet is quite excellent. The meats are varied. Loved the ribs and the beef filet.

Much better than Carnivore in terms of quality of meat and salad buffet - like fried banana. Great location, as we don't have to drive all the way to Langata to enjoy meat. Besides usual beef, pork, chicken and lamb, they have croc, ostrich (seasonal) and guinea fowl (sometimes).

I had been told by friends that the meat here is actually better than at Carnivore, and I have to say I agree. You start with the buffet, which was a mix of salads and Brazilian style meatballs in tomato sauce the day I was there. The atmosphere is not festive like Carnivore, but it is relaxed and a good place to sit down and talk in peace with friends/partner/colleagues. As mentioned, the meat is pretty good. It was still mostly too well done for my taste though, but this seems to be a general problem in Kenya. I would also have preferred a better selection of good value table wines.
